“Capturing
the Spirit”
Saturday/Monday/Friday 10.30am – 3.30pm
A Chinese
Brush Painting exhibition by Julia Martin of Sidewinder Studio
Capturing the spirit of the
painting’s subject is the essence of Chinese Brush Painting. Through the demanding techniques of
this ancient art form brush strokes capture so much more than a visual
representation.
Chinese philosophy and symbolism
play an important role in conveying the painting’s message, helping to express
the inner spirit of the subject and its relationship with the artist.
Paintings
will be for sale, along with individually painted cards, Chinese Knotting and
other related crafts.
Julia will be giving demonstrations
of Chinese Brush Painting each day.
